Importancia

Because of the sweeping political and economic changes in the United States and Mexico, particularly the signing of NAFTA, both countries are experiencing a growth in demand for professionals with expertise in Mexican-American affairs and proficiency in the Spanish language. Nowhere is this demand more prominent than in the business world.

The joint MBA program from TTU and UA provides rigorous academic and practical learning in business as well as in the related political, social, cultural, and economic environments of both nations. The cross-national nature of the program is further illustrated by requiring both Mexican and American business law courses.

This unique program gives students an edge for career advancement after completing an internship with a Mexican corporation. The graduates make excellent candidates for employment by the firms that participate in the internship, as well as a growing number of companies seeking MBA students with a bi-national preparation.

La Universidad Anáhuac

The University Anáhuac is one of the most prestigious private educational institutions in Mexico. Founded by the Legionarios de Cristo in 1964, UA opened with 48 students in attendance. Currently, UA’s enrollment exceeds 5,000 at the undergraduate level and 1,500 at the graduate level, a quarter of which is business students. To date, the business school remains the largest program on Anáhuac’s campus and is supported by its faculty, corporate partners and modern facilities.

"Anáhuac" literally means "near the water" in Nauhtl, language of the Aztecs. The region of lakes in central Mexico gave seat to the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan, which is present day Mexico City and home of La Universidad Anáhuac. The university is ideally located in the suburbs of the capital city.

UA’s renowned faculty is diverse and highly qualified. Many faculty members have attained their education at some of the top business programs in the world including many Ivy League schools in the United States. Coupled with their strong academic foundation is the significant work experience of the faculty. The majority of UA’s faculty continues to be involved in business and government activities. This involvement has helped to expand UA’s faculty network both on a national and international level and has served to further enhance classroom experiences and placement opportunities for UA and UA’s exchange and joint programs.

Students are responsible for paying for their food and housing while studying at TTU and UA. A number of Mexican homes offer food and lodging to students of Universidad Anáhuac. An excellent cafeteria "La Kaf" is available on campus.

Airline costs to and from Mexico City, daily transportation to and from campus, and personal expenses are also the responsibility of each student.
